Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai or in short AnoHana. I have to say of all anime I've watched, I've never seen such touching anime before. This story is about A group of six childhood friends drift apart after one of them, Meiko "Menma" Honma, dies in an accident. Several years after the incident, the leader of the group, Jinta Yadomi, has withdrawn from society and lives as a recluse. One summer day, the ghost of an older looking Menma appears before him and asks to have a wish granted, reasoning that she cannot pass on into the afterlife until it is fulfilled. Since Menma does not remember what her wish is, Jinta gathers his estranged friends together once again, believing that they are the key to resolving this problem. However, hidden feelings, internal conflicts, and lingering feelings of bitterness from Menma's parents result in complications for the group as they struggle to help not only Menma move on, but more importantly, themselves as well ( Wikipedia )

Each and every episode of AnoHana is really very meaningful. Sorry, I have no idea what to say about it, cus' it's simply just too good. I highly recommend AnoHana to you. Be sure to prepare some tissues beside you cus' the last episode which is episode 11 is very very tear-jerking. I felt like crying ( I'm not an easy cry-er ) But I've seen some reviews from "youtubers" (male) cried his eyes out and all. See, how beautiful this anime is :') Tell me if you've able to withstand the sadness of this anime. I'll call you heartless though. Haha!

================================================================================================================

Between, I didn't watch Ano Hana in the net, I bought the DVD on Sunday and immediately played it with my DVD player. The subs were pretty good except when they didn't translate the letter in some scenes WHICH IS very frustrating indeed.  But overall it was cool :D Since I got my sister to read it out loud for us ;)
That's all for today's update!

Pacman

Pacman Cake!
It's very simple :D Nothing complicated just a normal sponge cake.
Thanks to my younger sister who cut the cake that way.
Then only I've thought of putting a chocolate chip on it as the eye.
There you have it,
PACMAN CAKE
:D Haha

Cake

I made cake for the first time in my life! Once again, I followed Yumeiro Patissiere's recipe. It's supposed to be a pound cake but I've added chocolate chips in it. The cake was just right for my sister, but I found it too sweet. Maybe I should reduce the sugar amount by 50% next time :D

Pound cake with chocolate chips (?)

Just to let you know that parchment paper is not necessary here. Just slightly wipe some  butter so that the cake wont stick too much on the pan.

Have fun baking!

18.11.2011

It was the last day of school. The last and final day we will be in the same class with my fellow friends. Those who were in music with me had been in the same class as me for 3 years straight while the rest were 2 years or 1. I kinda miss the times we were together. I wouldn't say our class has the best of people out there but definitely it has some special traits that other class does not posses. We don't betray or avenge each other for personal matters. Pointing each other out for faults were just not our thing. But of course, we did gossip to release our anger on certain circumstances but it was all fine and clean. Haha, I have say this many times, seriously, but that ain't stopping me from saying, 'Time passes really fast". Today was the last day, and we've enjoy ourselves to the fullest. Not all were present, but those who did, we've really bonded with each other.  To the extent, we felt heavy to leave each other. Though we will still be in the same school next year, we will see each other, but the fact that we might be in different classes is quite frightening. You can't guarantee that we will be close to each other like before. For the past 3 years, 2 years or even 1 year, to those who've been in the same class as me, especially when I was in Form 2 and 3, I thank you for giving such wonderful experience as being your fellow classmate, table mate, best friends, friends, assistant class rep, all of that have been really fun and wonderful. I can't deny that I don't have any hardships or hard feelings back then but all of it were worth experiencing and it has shape me into a more better person. Work in school has been really tough but some of you out there have been really willing to give me your fullest support and acknowledge my work. Not so mention, all of you have even appreciated me. I was happy to serve the class even it's hard. For now, the time when next year is near, it is again timed for us to choose wisely of what stream we plan to venture in. We are one step closer to our dreams or higher education. I wish all of my classmate who are reading this good luck. To those who are transferring to another school, keep in touch. Even if one day we've become distance from each other or even strangers, I hope you'll remember the days you've spent with all of us in class both bad and fond memories, foolish and funny acts and all. For now, I bid all of you goodbye :)

I've made cookies last Friday :) This is the third time I'm making cookies. The recipe was more reliable than I thought it would be. I'll share out the recipe here. Make sure you use fine coarse sugar!

Baking

I went to Jia Shing's house today.Joining us with the baking class are :

Loh Yee Wah
Michelle Chong
Seow Thien Wei

I've learn how to bake from her :D She's amazing, I wouldn't have much patient to analyse and watch over the oven temperature.  I'm not good with anything that has to do with oven, but next time, I would like to try one more time on baking. I hope we have more chances to have this baking thing carry on in the future! I'm looking for it!

Grateful

I've read back and reminisce about the past and how funny it is for me to do such silly things. I guess this is what they call growing up. Hahaha. I'm glad with who I am now compared with the me last time. I used to get work up for small petty things, get stress easily and all. But all in all I think all those bad traits shaped the me today. I wouldn't say that I've really reached the point of being a great an admirable person but one day, I hope I will. Well, at least, to some point where I can be proud of myself. When mistakes are done, there's always a way to turn back to the right side. A saying which we heard so often which is, when there's a will there's a way applies a solution to all obstacles and challenges. I've learn how to accept trouble throughout my life, I wouldn't say that my experience is that rich but I am a bit unlucky compare to most 15 years old out there( It's something confidential that I can't disclosed everything in detail) . Please be remind that I'm not fussing about my life now as I have good and sufficient/more food to eat, a good shelter and a lot more good stuff. I'm just stating a fact. To those out there, who are SO unsatisfied with your life, thinking that you have TOO much to eat that you would throw your food away, fussing about how your life sucks, well, just think of those poor children out there. For starters, think of a child with a broken family. Then, some children who are dying from incurable diseases or malnutrition, people dying from politics and more. So start your life with a fresh morning and say, I'm glad to be alive and thank your enemies for making such an exciting day for ya to wrap up your day. Nevertheless, I would always remind all of you (those who are reading my blog, I guess there's only a few,LOL)   always be grateful, we might not know what will happen tomorrow or even now. Always expected for the worse and live for tomorrow like as if you're gonna die the next minute. Do as much as you can before it is too late.

Cake Deco

Updating for Cake Deco. Sorry for the late update cus' there isn't any pictures of the cake. Personally and generally I think our is the best. Unfortunately, we've only manage to got a consolation prize. We were at least expecting a placing in this competition but sadly no. Somehow I sense some bias aura from the judges but, it is what it is and the results is everything. We're the winner at heart so, yea.

I would personally like to thank these participants who've done such brilliant job in decorating this cake.

Wong Jia Shing - Bake the cake personally, made chocolates and icing.
Ong Zong Lin   - In charge of the fondant
Yeoh Yee Yeeng - The right-hander for Ong and Jia Shing

You see, every material they brought are handmade, they should have given use extra marks for it. No use crying over spilt milk now. Overall, the decoration and the cake taste GREAT. Jia Shing is such a good baker :D The image is right here >>>  Cake Entry of 3 Orchid

Know Your Limits --- Then Ignore Them ( John Mason)

I've recently started reading this book. I find it really useful and I'm trying to apply every ''nugget'' they've gave everyday. Once you read this book, you'll understand what I mean by nugget. Well, I didn't really know why they call it nugget but, who cares. Haha. Here's a link where you can read this book. Know Your Limits - Then Ignore Them

I'm not the type who likes to read but I've came to like this book, so you should try it out too ;)
